• What do I need to bring?
Protective eyewear that fits properly; sunglasses are fine. A brimmed hat. Wet weather gear if it is raining or if rain is forecast. If it is sunny long sleeves, trousers and sun block. You will also need wellies preferably, if not good shoes, trainers or boots will be fine!

• How safe is it for my child?
All the locations are chosen with safety as the main concern! ALL clients are made to wear special life jackets, throw ropes are always at hand and we employ a buddy system. One of my main priorities is your safety.

• Will I be able to fish by myself after your basic lessons?
The Angling Experience is designed to give you all you need to know to be able to venture forth into the world of angling, all be it on a basic level!
The Fly fishing instruction is a basic introduction to fly casting and associated skills and there is no reason why you cannot venture forth immediately, but I should like to provide you with further instruction to insure a safe passage and evolute your skills!

• Do I need to bring tackle?
No, all of the tackle is provided. Should you have tackle appropriate to the discipline being learnt then you can bring it!

• How old does my child have to be?
Your child must be between 7 and 16 years old.

• Are you insured?
Yes we are insured through my governing body. Also you and your equipment is insured comprehensively when being transported by ourselves.

• When is your guide service available?
Our guide service is available throughout the year, however it should be understood that certain times of the year present certain circumstances, you will be truthfully advised as to your chosen activity on the day, should your request be deemed dangerous or impractical then an alternative can be provided.

• Can you cater for groups with split ability levels?
I most certainly can and will be more than pleased to do so.

• Can my non-fishing friend or partner attend my activity?
Of course it will be my pleasure, however it will depend on available space in my vehicle and boat, you will be advised when you make the enquiry.

• Are my follow on lessons at a reduced rate?
Yes, after your initial introductory lesson you will be considered part of the ongoing development programme. All tuition on this programme is charged with a 25% discount on standard fees!

• Do we use hooks when learning to fly cast?
No, it is considered unsafe to use hooks when learning to fly cast, when your skills hit a certain level, you will be advised accordingly.

• What are your angling based conservation practices?
We do not fish for Salmon and Sea Trout. All imposed size limits, bag limits and season periods will be respected. Catch and release is our main policy, however let it be understood every angler has the right to eat their catch within reason! These measures are based on conservation and best angling practice and are non-negotiable!

• Is my Gift Voucher transferable?
Yes your Gift Voucher can be transferred but you must give WCA prior notification!

• Is my Gift Voucher refundable?
No!

• What happens if the weather stops the lesson or the lesson is cancelled by WCA?
In the event that a lesson is cancelled WCA will invite you to re-book at a mutually
convenient time! Should you not wish to re-book or cannot re-book then
a full refund will be made!

• Should I find myself with a particular circumstance, how can WCA help?
At WCA we want everybody to enjoy and share angling. WHATEVER your circumstance WCA will do everything that is possible to accommodate you!

• What if I want to come to one of your lessons intoxicated or I do not want to obey the safety precautions put in place by West Coast Angling?
You will not be allowed to proceed.

• Should I wish for further instruction from WCA, how would this be implemented!
Should you wish for further instruction then you can ask to avail of WCA ongoing development programme! This programme is non obligatory and can be availed of to what ever level you require! Your ongoing development will be conducted on a one to one basis, your development will be fully recorded and you will receive constantly updated literature relevant to your lesson structure.

• When on one of your activities can you supply lunch?
Yes, west Coast Angling can supply lunch for you, the lunches can be made to your requirement's, there is a very reasonable charge for this service. Alternatively you can request a pub lunch, this can be built into your package or be availed of at anytime during your activity.

• Do you provide transport?
Transport is provided for you should you need to be picked up and dropped off from your accommodation, so long as the distance is with in reason, should the distance be deemed unreasonable then a agreed charge can be arranged.
Transport is included in the guided packages as we need to move between locations and the cost of this is included in the days fees.

We can also arrange airport pick up should you require, again this is charged on the basis of an agreed fee. I guarantee to be a lot more cost effective than a taxi. We are fully insured for your carriage.
