You need no fly casting or angling experience at all to enjoy the full benefits of our lessons and courses.
Fly fishing is a very graceful and encompassing way of angling. Many species of fish can be caught using the fly cast. Traditionally trout and salmon, but more recently a very rewarding and challenging way of fly fishing has become recognized. We now fly fish for coastal species such as bass, mackerel, pollock and mullet, also large freshwater predators namely the pike. Maybe you are attracted to this discipline by the sheer beauty of casting a fly.
On your course you will learn -

Everything that you will learn with me is documented in a folder for your future reference and I have no problem with you contacting me if you need advice or direction on any matter related to your instruction or angling requirements.
There are many variations of the fly cast and to consider yourself a competent fly fisher a good cross section of these casts and other skills will be required. With this in mind you can enjoy the full benefits of West Coast Angling’s ongoing development programme, encompassing virtually every aspect of fly fishing.
