As a Level 2 CCA G.A.I.A instructor I am proud to be able to offer you more than 30 years of experience and knowledge in a very wide spectrum of angling!

My angling started at much the same time as I learnt to walk. As I grew older it became very apparent that my abilities and aptitudes lay within angling. I would spend days by the waterside experimenting, watching and learning! My life as an angler started on the famous Blagdon lake following in the footsteps of the famous Dr Bell. I watched and learnt from some of the best anglers in the country.

The first half of my life was spent day in day out testing my skills and wits against the sometimes impossible fish of Blagdon lake until there was very little I did not know about catching trout from this historic fishery. It was time to find new opportunities!

After studying Fish farming and Fishery management I moved to Canada so as I could explore some of the most remarkable fishing imaginable!

On my return I set up home in Ireland with my wife Lauren and spent an incredible amount of time expanding my skills and knowledge whilst fishing for the wild Brown trout of Loch Corrib. Much time was spent fly fishing for Pike and developing my passion for fly caught sea fish, mainly the Bass and Mullet!

On moving to Co. Clare I began work establishing West Coast Angling’s School of Excellence! And exploring the immense Atlantic coast line that offers both you and me some of the most extreme and rewarding fly fishing to be found anywhere in the world!
